Abdullah Gül University (AGU) International Office Coordinator, Lecturer Nimet BULUT, represented the University at the European University Association (EUA) 2026 Annual Conference, held in Istanbul on April 16–17, 2026. The conference was hosted by Yeditepe Üniversitesi.
Bringing together 260 institutions from 41 countries, the event welcomed approximately 500 rectors, university leaders, policymakers, and experts. The conference provided a significant platform for strengthening global cooperation in higher education and fostering international academic networks.
Organized by the EUA, which represents around 900 universities across Europe, the annual conference facilitated a comprehensive academic dialogue among participants from diverse regions. Key sessions addressed the future of educational programs, the transformation of the research ecosystem, and strategies for developing innovation-driven collaborations.
The conference also covered major topics such as the evolving role of universities within the European Higher Education Area, the impact of the Bologna Process, and the future of international student mobility.
AGU’s active participation in such international events contributes to enhancing its global visibility and supports its strategic goals in internationalization.
